Compliance with Medicare and Medicaid regulations is also required. So is adherence to the law, including the federal Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act, and the Emergency Medical Treatment and Active Labor Act.

Anti-kickback statutes

In keeping with federal law, Shore Health Services forbids any compensation in return for referrals. We compete aggressively, but fairly, in the marketplace — in compliance with all
federal and state anti-trust laws.
