Rev your workout with a Comprehensive Fitness Assessment
Let exercise physiology help you improve your workouts by getting a Comprehensive Fitness Assessment. Those who can benefit include anyone starting an exercise program, as well as people who want to evaluate their current regimen.
The testing is done by American College of Sports Medicine Health Fitness Instructors and Clinical Exercise Specialists.
The assessment can provide information and motivation. It will give you a baseline, so you know where you are, by comparing your data to normal values for people of the same age and sex. Then, based on your goals, we can offer advice about the mode, intensity and duration of exercise that will work best for you.
The Comprehensive Fitness Assessment includes all of the following services:
n Aerobic capacity test (monitoring of heart rate and blood pressure)
n Body composition measurements, including Body Mass Index (BMI), waist to hip measurements, height, weight and body fat percentage (3-site skin fold method)
n Flexibility measurements including sit and reach (targeting the hamstring and lower back), Williams Test (hamstring), Thomas Test (hip flexors) and lower back hyperextension
n Muscular endurance, including a sit-up and push-up test
n Muscular strength, including one rep of max leg press and one rep of max bench press
The Comprehensive Fitness Assessment costs $79. Insurance companies typically do not cover these services.
